Comments: DEC-205-/- knock-out mice were immunized with purified protein from human DEC-205 cells. [53324]

Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 mouse myeloma cells.

The antibody labels mature monocyte-derived dendritic cells but shows weak or no labeling of other peripheral blood mononuclear cells. [53324]

In tissue sections, MG38 identifies DEC-205 on thymic cortical epithelium and dendritic cells in the thymic medulla and tonsillar T cell areas. [53324]

The antibody reacts with DEC-205 in tissue sections from both humans and rhesus macaque monkeys.

Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, Catalog No. 30-2001.To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 5%

Subculturing: Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium.
