Comments: Animals were immunized with purified shiga-like toxin from E. coli H30.
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells.
The antibody reacts with the beta subunit of shiga toxin and SLTI and neutralizes Shiga toxin activities from Shigella dysenteriae type I and Shigella flexneri and Shiga-like toxin activities from Escherichia coli.
Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Salmonella typhimurium.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: The base medium for this cell line is ATCC Hybri-Care Medium, Catalog No. 46-X. Hybri-Care Medium is supplied as a powder and should be reconstituted in 1 L cell-culture-grade water. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium:
fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%
